Woman killed in Arlington mobile home fire
The Arlington Fire Department is investigating a fatal fire that occurred Thursday evening at the Forest Acres Mobile Home Park, 4800 Kelly Elliott Road.
At around 4:15pm, Arlington firefighters were called to the community after residents saw flames from one of the mobile homes. Quint 7 arrived to find heavy fire showing from a mobile home with reports of a woman trapped inside.
Firefighters immediately went inside to attack the fire and search for any victims. A woman was found inside the home with life-threatening injuries. CPR was performed by firefighters and paramedics at the scene. Arlington EMS transported her to Medical City Arlington, but she was pronounced deceased at 5:54pm.
The victim has been identified as a 62-year-old woman.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
