Male kills woman, shoots self in old town Coppell
The Coppell Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred today in the downtown area known as “old town” Coppell.
At 11:13am this morning, Coppell police responded to a shooting near George Coffee + Provisions shop at the intersection of Main Street and Houston Street.
When officers arrived on the scene, they found a woman fatally shot. Witnesses saw a man running away from the scene. Officers later found him nearby with a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Coppell paramedics transported him to Baylor Grapevine hospital in unknown condition.
Detectives are still investigating the circumstances surrounding this incident.
