Two people killed in fiery crash in Uptown Dallas

The Dallas County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatality accident that occurred overnight along Woodall Rogers Freeway in the Uptown area.
At 2:28am, Dallas County Sheriff’s deputies and Dallas Fire Rescue were dispatched to westbound Woodall Rogers Freeway at Allen Street for a two-vehicle crash.
As units arrived, they observed one vehicle overturned and on fire. A second vehicle was also found with rear end damage.
Investigators believe a vehicle was speeding when it clipped the back of second vehicle, causing the first to collide with a bridge support pillar and catch fire. Both occupants inside the speeding vehicle were pronounced deceased at the scene by Dallas paramedics. They have been identified as a male and a female.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
