Teen’s body recovered from Lake Worth

Officials have recovered the body of a 16-year-old male who drowned in Lake Worth on Monday evening.
Shortly before 8:00pm on Monday night, multiple emergency responders from the Fort Worth Fire Department, Fort Worth Police Department, MedStar EMS, Marshal’s Lake Patrol, and Texas Parks and Wildlife were called to the western shores of Lake Worth for a missing person in the water.
It was suspected that a teenage individual had waded out into the water and did not resurface. Agencies conducted a search and recovery operation until 10:30pm, but suspended the search until Tuesday morning. They located the teen’s body at 9:22am this morning near the 9700 block of Watercress Drive.
