Man killed, woman critically hurt in Haltom City fire
The Haltom City Fire Department says one person has died and another is in critical condition following an overnight house fire.
At 3:55am, Haltom City firefighters and help from North Richland Hills, Watauga, and Bedford responded to a house fire in the 3200 block of Rita Lane. Smoke and flames were showing on arrival.
Firefighters immediately entered the burning home to locate any possible residents. Two people were located inside. They were both pulled from the residence.
Despite medical care, an adult man was pronounced deceased at the scene. An adult woman was airlifted to a hospital in critical condition.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
