Authorities investigating drowning at pond in Lantana
At 5:39pm this evening, firefighters and paramedics from Denton County ESD #1 responded to a search and rescue operation at a small community pond along Tanner Parkway near Dahlia Way.
When firefighters arrived, they immediately began searching for a fisher who reportedly slipped and fell into the water, and did not resurface.
Lewisville FD’s Dive Team, Texas Game Wardens, Bartonville PD, Double Oak VFD, and Denton County Sheriff’s Office all responded to the scene. Unfortunately, one person was recovered deceased.
The incident remains under investigation.
