Intoxicated driver hits, kills pedestrian in Dallas roadway
Dallas Police are investigating a deadly car pedestrian crash.
On July 2, 2023, at about 2:00am, a 21-year-old was driving northbound in the 2700 block of S. Buckner Blvd. near Hume Drive. The preliminary investigation determined a man was crossing S. Buckner Blvd. not in a crosswalk, and was hit by the vehicle.
The man died at the scene.
After the collision, the vehicle crossed the median, traveled across the southbound lanes, and hit a wooden light pole at the intersection of Blossom Lane.
The driver was charged with Driving While Intoxicated. Additional charges are possible.
