Worker dies after tunnel collapses at Dallas apartment complex
At around 3:19pm, Dallas Fire Rescue responded to the Sage Hill at Cypress Waters apartment complex, 2275 Sage Hill Lane, for reports of a trapped worker.
Officials say crews were manually digging a tunnel under an apartment building when the dirt collapsed in on one of the workers. The collapse trapped the worker under the building.
Dallas Fire Rescue and their Urban Search and Rescue team have been working to extricate the victim from under the building.
It is confirmed that the worker died in the incident.
No further updates have been released.
