Multiple people killed in fiery Hill County crash
At around 4:30pm on Saturday afternoon, multiple emergency responders from Bynum VFD, CareFlite Ground EMS, Hill County Sheriff’s deputies, and DPS Troopers were called to the scene of a major accident along Highway 171 near Hill County Road 3155 West.
DPS says two vehicles were involved in a head-on collision and caught fire.
Six individuals were pronounced deceased at the scene: two adults and two kids in one vehicle, and two adults in the other.
As of 9:30pm Saturday, the roadway remains closed, according to Hill County Emergency Management. It is best to avoid this area.
DPS Troopers are currently on scene investigating the crash. We expect further information to be released tomorrow.
