3 killed in 18-wheeler head-on crash west of Weatherford
On Sunday, July 9th, just before midnight, DPS Troopers and local first responders were dispatched to the westbound lanes of I20 near Santo, Texas for a major accident involving two 18-wheelers.
Officials say one an 18-wheeler was traveling eastbound when the driver crossed over the center median and struck a second 18-wheeler head-on.
The driver of the 18-wheeler who crossed the median has been identified as a 46-year-old man from Plano.
The driver and passenger of the 18-wheeler have been identified as a 63-year-old man and 60-year-old man, respectively. They were both from California.
Lanes of I20 were closed for most of the night while crews cleared up the accident scene.
