16-year-old injured in road rage shooting, North Richland Hills police say

North Richland Hills Police are investigating a road rage incident that led to a 16-year-old boy being shot.

The shooting happened last Saturday, August 19, on Loop 820 near Iron Horse Blvd around 10:45 a.m.

Reports indicate that the altercation began further west of the location and appears to be related to road rage. The juvenile driving a purple car may have cut someone off driving a dark-colored SUV. The driver of the dark-colored SUV began tailgating the victim and fired off several rounds into the victim’s car.

The boy was struck once but is expected to be okay. He has been treated and released from the hospital.
