Two dead in apparent murder-suicide at Johnson County home
At around 7:00am Sunday morning, Johnson County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a shooting at a home in the 4000 block of Oakview Circle, just north of Alvarado.
JCSO said a neighbor called 9-1-1 to report gunshots in the area. When deputies arrived at the scene, they located a man and a woman in the driveway of the residence with apparent gunshot wounds.
According to the Medical Examiner’s office, the homeowner, a 57-year-old man, shot and killed his wife, a 53-year-old woman, and turned the gun on himself. Both were pronounced deceased at the scene.
Crime Scene investigators are working to identify the circumstances surrounding this apparent murder-suicide.
