NEW: Three people found shot dead at Arlington apartments; police searching for suspect

Just after 8:30pm Thursday, Arlington officers responded to an apartment complex in the 3500 block of Chatham Green Ln to investigate a reported shooting.

A witness called 911 to say he heard something — and when he went to see what it was, he found an adult male lying unresponsive outside of an apartment. The witness also noticed the door to the apartment had been kicked in.

When officers arrived on scene, they located the victim who had an apparent gunshot wound. Officers also found two other adults, a male and a female, unresponsive inside the apartment with gunshot wounds. All three were pronounced deceased.

There were two children at the apartment who were not injured. They were released to family members.

APD is still working to identify the victims. At this time, it’s unclear how they’re connected.

Witnesses reported seeing a man running away from the scene. Police are searching for the suspect.

Investigators are currently on scene conducting interviews with witnesses and reviewing evidence.
