One person killed in south Grand Prairie crash
The Grand Prairie Police Department is investigating a fatal traffic collision that occurred today, Thursday, February 1st, at Highway 287 and Lakeview.
At 5:45 A.M., an SUV traveling on Lakeview attempted to cross southbound Hwy 287, failing to yield the right of way to a semi tractor trailer traveling south on 287, causing a collision.
The driver of the Ford, an adult male, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
There were no other passengers in the Ford and the driver of the semi tractor trailer did not sustain any injuries.
The identity of the deceased will be released by the Ellis County Justice of the Peace once next of kin has been notified.
This collision remains under investigation.
