One person killed in crash involving Garland city dump truck

On August 10, at approximately 12:45 pm, Garland Police and Fire responded to a two vehicle crash in the intersection of Pleasant Valley Road and Firewheel Parkway.

Officers arrived and discovered that a minivan and a city of Garland vehicle had collided in the intersection.

The minivan was occupied by two women. One was transported to the hospital, while the other was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the city occupied vehicle was not injured.

This is an ongoing investigation, and the identities of those involved are not being released at this time.
