At around 9:00am Sunday morning, Everman Fire/EMS and Tarrant County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a crash in the 2900 block of McPherson Road just west of Rendon Road.
Everman Truck 19 and Medic 19 arrived to find a single motorcycle involved in a wreck. Life-saving measures were administered on the rider, but he was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the motorcyclist as a 76-year-old man from Fort Worth, who lived just up the road from where the accident occurred.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
At around 4:00pm Saturday afternoon, Grand Prairie Fire/EMS and Police responded to a rescue call at Traders Village after the rollercoaster got stuck with several occupants on board.
Firefighters arrived on scene and determined nine people were in need of rescue. All occupants were safely rescued without injuries.
The cause of the malfunction remains under investigation. No other information has been released.
The Arlington Police Department is investigating a single-vehicle wreck that resulted in the death of a 31-year-old man.
On September 8, 2024, at approximately 3:37 a.m., officers responded to the westbound lanes of I-30 near Fielder Road where a pickup truck was wrecked out in the center median.
Investigators determined the pickup went off the roadway, collided with a concrete barrier, then struck a sign pillar and some guardrail.
The 31-year-old man, who was driving the pickup, was ejected from the vehicle. He was pronounced deceased at the scene. A 32-year-old female passenger had to be extricated by Arlington firefighters and was transported to an area hospital in critical condition.
Investigators have not ruled out intoxication as a possible factor in the crash.
The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office will identify the deceased once next of kin have been notified.
On Sunday, September 8, 2024, at approximately 1:01 pm, Cleburne Police Officers responded to the area of the 500 block of Poindexter in reference to a shooting.
While en route, officers learned that a female had been shot and taken to another location. Officers responded to the second location and found that an 18-year-old female had been shot. The female was a passenger in a white SUV that was involved in the altercation at the initial location. The female was transported to the hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries and is deceased.
The suspect fled the scene before officers’ arrival and is not in custody.
Officers are still investigating this scene and following all leads.

On Saturday, September 7, 2024, at approximately 9:22 p.m., Fort Worth FD, PD, and Medstar EMS were dispatched to the 2100 block of Jacksboro Highway in response to a major accident.
Preliminary investigation indicated that a suspect vehicle collided with the victim’s vehicle, resulting in the victim being ejected from their vehicle. The driver of the suspect vehicle fled the scene on foot before officers arrived.
The victim was transported to a nearby hospital but, unfortunately, succumbed to their injuries and was pronounced deceased.
The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office will determine the manner and cause of death, as well as the identity of the deceased, once the next of kin has been notified.
The Fort Worth Police Department Traffic Investigation Unit has been notified and will be conducting a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding this incident.
[UPDATE] Princeton PD has released the following update.
Further investigation into this case led officers to believe Ryan Phillips is the primary suspect.
Investigators working alongside the Texas Rangers had information on Phillips’ direction of travel. Due to the Critical Missing Person broadcast and the use of license plate readers, Missouri State Troopers located the vehicle driven by Phillips in St. Louis County on Friday, September 6. Missouri troopers attempted to stop the vehicle. Phillips fled, leaving troopers on a pursuit.
During the pursuit, the vehicle crashed and reported gunshots were exchanged between Phillips and troopers. He died at the scene.
Troopers later identified the missing, Delisha Evans, deceased in the vehicle.
The investigation is ongoing.

On September 6, 2024, at approximately 7:30 AM, Princeton Police and Fire Departments were dispatched to the 3000 block of Winding Meadow in response to a reported structure fire.
During the course of the investigation, police were alerted by family members of the residents that Delisha Evans, who resides at the location, is currently missing. Authorities are concerned for her safety, as there are serious indications that she may be in imminent danger.
The investigation is ongoing, and law enforcement officials are working diligently to gather information and locate Delisha.

On Friday, September 6, 2024, at approximately 6:26 p.m., the Fort Worth Police Department, Fire Department, and MedStar EMS responded to the 5200 block of Bryant Irvin Road in reference to a major accident.
Officers found that one of the drivers in a two-vehicle accident was pronounced deceased at the scene by medical personnel. The driver of the other vehicle sustained what are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.
Officers are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.

On September 6, 2024, at approximately 7:55 a.m., Dallas Police and Fire Rescue responded to a car crash in the 700 block of E. Ledbetter Drive.
The preliminary investigation determined when officers arrived they found a 14-year-old male had been hit by a vehicle.
The driver stopped and remained at the scene.
Further investigation determined the driver and passenger, 47-year-old James Grant, got into an argument as they drove south on Marsalis Avenue. Grant started struggling with the driver and assaulted them. This continued as they went east onto Ledbetter and Grant reached across the driver causing the car to go off the road and hit the teen, walking in the grass.
Grant stole property from the driver and ran from the scene. The driver called 911.
Officers later located Grant and he was arrested for felony Murder, as he was in the act of committing a felony offense which caused the death of the teen.
On Tuesday, September 3, 2024, at approximately 4:06 p.m., an off-duty Fort Worth Police Officer called 911 and said that he was involved in a hit-and-run that had just occurred on I-35W SB at Morningside Drive.
The off-duty officer stated that his vehicle was struck by another vehicle and that the driver did not stop to exchange information, and instead drove away.
The off-duty officer told the 911 call taker that he started following the vehicle, which he described as a red Ford F-150.
During the 911 call, the off-duty officer then said that the vehicle he was following attempted to ram his vehicle.
The off-duty officer then advised that shots were fired.
This vehicular incident continued southbound on I-35W until it came to a stop on the southbound service road of I-35W at Bellvue Dr., when at 4:13 p.m., the Fort Worth Police Department responded.
Officers found that the driver involved in the hit-and-run had been struck by gunfire multiple times. The driver received immediate medical treatment on scene and was taken to an area hospital where he is currently being treated for his injuries, which are believed to be non-life threatening.
This investigation is in its preliminary stage and remains ongoing. Further details will be released once they are gathered and confirmed.
