Teenager killed in Fort Worth shooting

On Tuesday, November 5th, at around 9:10pm, Fort Worth police responded to a shooting in the 3500 block of Avenue L. in east Fort Worth.

When emergency crews arrived, they located a 16-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound. FWFD and MedStar EMS administered life-saving measures, but his injuries were too severe. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Police say another individual was handling a handgun and the weapon discharged, hitting the victim in the upper body.

The suspect is being interviewed by police. As of this morning, no arrest(s) has been made.

The Homicide Unit is investigating the incident.
