Man shoots woman, turns gun on himself at Garland apartment, police say
Yesterday, Friday, March 7, 2025, just before 6:30 PM, Garland Police officers responded to reports of a shooting at an apartment complex in the 1300 block of West Kingsley Road. Upon arrival, officers found two individuals inside an apartment, both suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
A female victim was transported to a local hospital, where she underwent surgery and is in the ICU. A male suspect was found deceased at the scene from what appears to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
He has since been identified as 20-year-old male.
The preliminary investigation indicates the man entered the female’s apartment and shot her before turning the weapon on himself.
Investigators believe the man had a connection to the victim’s family, and they are working to determine the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
