Man struck, killed by vehicle in Allen
On Friday, May 2, 2025, at approximately 9:30 p.m., Allen Police responded to a report of an auto-pedestrian crash in the 700 block of E. Stacy Road.
Preliminary investigation indicates that a male pedestrian was believed to have been leaving the business at 711 E. Stacy Road and traveling southbound. While attempting to cross Stacy Road, he entered the westbound lanes, continued through the center median, and stepped into the eastbound lanes of traffic. The male failed to yield the right of way to oncoming vehicles and was struck by a dark-colored SUV.
The driver of the SUV remained at the scene and cooperated with responding officers.
Allen Police officers arrived quickly and began life-saving efforts. Fairview Fire Department personnel took over upon arrival and continued providing emergency medical aid. The male was transported to the hospital, where he was pronounced deceased at 10:01 p.m.
The deceased has been identified as a 40-year-old male from Melissa.
This incident remains under investigation by the Allen Police Department’s Traffic Division. No further information is available at this time.
