Two dead, one critical after serious crash in Fort Worth
On Tuesday, December 23rd, at 2:15am, Fort Worth Fire/EMS and Police were dispatched to a major accident on eastbound I20 near Granbury Road.
Officers arrived to find a severe crash involving two vehicles, one of which might have been stalled at the time of the collision.
A passenger from one of the vehicles was ejected in the crash, and pronounced deceased at the scene. Engine 29 reported that both drivers were trapped inside their vehicles. One driver was extricated and transported by ambulance to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. The second driver was extricated and pronounced deceased at the scene.
All lanes of eastbound I20 were closed for many hours while FWPD investigated the scene. All lanes have since been reopened.
