UPDATE: Driver dies in Southlake crash

Around 8:14am this morning, Southlake Police and Fire units responded to a crash involving two vehicles in the 600 block of State Highway 114 eastbound service road at Dove Road.

Fire Department personnel extricated the driver (sole occupant) of one of the vehicles involved. That individual was transported to Baylor Scott & White Hospital in Grapevine and later pronounced deceased. The identity of the deceased is not being released pending notification of next of kin.

The other driver was not injured.

The eastbound service road remained closed for several hours while the scene was processed. The roadway is now open.

The investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing.

UPDATE: Woman killed in Alvarado crash

At around 12:00pm on Tuesday afternoon, Alvarado Fire Department, Alvarado Police Department, and CareFlite responded to a major accident in the southbound lanes of I35W near the exit for County Road 604.

Upon arrival, emergency responders located a vehicle that had crashed into an 18-wheeler.

A CareFlite helicopter was initially requested to the scene, but disregarded. CareFlite ground transported the victim to a nearby hospital with CPR in progress, where she died.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the victim as a 74-year-old woman.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.

Two people airlifted from Granbury crash

At around 7:13am this morning, the Granbury Police Department, Granbury Fire Department, and Texas EMS all responded to a three-vehicle crash in the 3000 block of Highway 144 South at Rock Harbor Drive, just south of Stumpys.

Due to the severity of the crash, all north and south bound traffic on Highway 144 was diverted for approximately two hours.

Drivers from two of the vehicles involved were flown by CareFlite and Air Evac Lifeteam helicopters to a Fort Worth hospital with serious bodily injury.

“Based on the initial investigation, it appears the at-fault driver was traveling southbound and made a left-hand turn in front of northbound vehicles (not at an intersection), failing to yield right of way and caused the crash,” said Granbury PD in a statement.

The roadway has since been reopened.

Motorcyclist killed in crash on 75 in Dallas

On May 12, 2026, at approximately 9:16 p.m., Dallas Police and Fire Rescue responded to a major accident on the freeway in the 13700 block of southbound north Central Expressway near 635.

The preliminary investigation determined that a man operating a motorcycle collided with a concrete barrier and traffic attenuator and fell into the roadway. He was then struck by a vehicle and died at the scene.

The other driver remained at the scene.

Lanes of the highway were closed for several hours while traffic investigators worked the scene.

Woman killed, juvenile seriously hurt in crash on Central Expressway in Dallas

On May 10, 2026, at approximately 3:56 a.m., Dallas Police and Fire Rescue responded to a major accident on north Central Expressway near north Henderson Avenue.

The preliminary investigation determined that a pickup truck driving northbound veered across two lanes, hitting the concrete barrier and pillar. The truck reentered the road, hitting a second pickup truck, which collided with the concrete barrier and came to a stop in the roadway.

The first truck collided again with the concrete barrier and came to a stop. That vehicle was occupied by a driver and four passengers; all four passengers were transported to the hospital. One adult female was transported in critical condition and later died at the hospital. A juvenile was transported with serious injuries.

The second truck was occupied by a driver and one passenger; the passenger was transported for medical evaluation.

The driver of the first truck was arrested at the scene and transported to the hospital for treatment. Charges will be announced at a later time.

Security guard killed, woman injured in Fort Worth shooting

The Fort Worth Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred Sunday morning.

On Sunday May 10th, 2026 at approximately 5:45a.m., East division officers were called to the 4500 block of Miller Avenue in reference to a shooting.

Officers arrived on scene along with the Fort Worth Fire Department to provide medical aid.

Preliminary information gathered is that a security guard working after hours went across the street to a local business and began talking to an individual. A confrontation ensued. One suspect shot the security guard who sustained a fatal injury and was pronounced deceased on scene.

The suspect also shot a second adult female who sustained a non-life-threatening injury and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

The suspect(s) fled the scene.

Per normal protocol, homicide detectives were notified and made the scene.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office will determine the manner, cause of death, and identity of the deceased.

Three juveniles shot at teen party in Everman

Shortly before 10:30pm, Everman Police received multiple reports of a shooting at a reported teen party with multiple victims. The party was being held at a local small event venue in the 1800 block of Everman Parkway.

Upon arrival, two teenage gunshot victims were located. These victims were ultimately transported to the hospital by ambulance. Officers were also able to quickly identify a suspect vehicle and following a short foot pursuit, detained several persons of interest, most of which are also juveniles.

Officers recovered multiple firearms.

During the initial response and investigation, Everman PD received information that a third juvenile gunshot victim had arrived at a nearby hospital in Fort Worth.

There is no ongoing threat to the community at this time. All three victims are in serious but stable condition at this time. 

Everman PD will continue to investigate this incident with the assistance of the Texas Rangers. “We also appreciate our partners with Forest Hill PD, Fort Worth PD, and TCSO for their quick response and support.”

Man dies in crash with 18-wheeler in Parker County

At around 1:30pm on Friday, May 8th, Parker County Emergency Services Districts #1 and #8, Parker County Hospital District EMS, Parker County Sheriff’s Office, and DPS were called to the scene of a crash on Farm to Market Road 51 at Veal Station Road south of Springtown.

When emergency crews arrived, they located a crash involving a vehicle and an 18-wheeler. The driver of the vehicle was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Investigators say the vehicle was stopped at the Veal Station Road stop sign when the driver failed to yield the right of way to the 18-wheeler. The truck was unable to avoid the collision.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the driver as a 77-year-old man.

The crash remains under investigation.

Saginaw PD officer shoots wanted subject while serving warrant

On Thursday May 7, 2026 at approximately 7:50am, officers with the Saginaw Police Department went to a residence in the 1300 block of North Creek Drive to attempt to serve a felony arrest warrant on a known male subject.

Officers contacted the wanted subject and attempted to place him under arrest. The male subject resisted arrest and became involved in a physical confrontation with the officers. During this altercation, one Saginaw Police Officer fired their weapon, striking the male.

Officers rendered aid until medical personnel arrived. The male subject was transported via ground ambulance to a local hospital; his condition is unknown at this time.

The Texas Rangers were notified and arrived on scene to conduct an independent investigation of this incident and present their findings to the Tarrant County Criminal District Attorney’s Office. At the same time, the Saginaw Police Department will conduct a separate, but parallel administrative investigation, which will examine department policy and procedure.

Suspect killed by police after stabbing multiple people at Richardson bar

On 05/06/26 at 10:00 p.m., the Richardson Police Department responded to the 2100 block of East Buckingham Road following reports of a man with a knife threatening to harm several people.

Upon arrival, officers encountered the suspect standing outside the entrance of a restaurant while armed with a knife. Officers were informed that victims were inside the restaurant and issued multiple verbal commands for the suspect to drop the knife.

The suspect refused to comply. During the encounter, two officers discharged their firearms, striking the suspect.

Additional responding officers immediately began providing medical aid to the injured victims inside the restaurant until paramedics arrived on scene.

Four victims injured in the attack by the suspect were taken to the hospital for their injuries.

The suspect was also transported to the hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

The investigation is ongoing.
