Motorcyclist killed in Denton County crash
On May 23, 2026, at approximately 11:45 a.m., Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) Troopers responded to a three-vehicle crash on FM-455 near Hub Clark Rd in Denton County.
A preliminary investigation indicated that a motorcycle was traveling eastbound at a high rate of speed, approaching a vehicle that was also traveling eastbound. The motorcyclist braked to avoid a collision with the vehicle, lost control, and laid the motorcycle down, sending it into the westbound lane, where it struck a pickup truck. The impact sent the motorcycle back into the eastbound lane, where it collided with the vehicle.
The driver of the pickup truck was uninjured.
The driver of the vehicle was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The motorcycle rider, a 34-year-old man from Sanger, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
This investigation is ongoing.
