Two people injured in Lewisville shooting; suspect in custody
On September 6, 2026, at approximately 6:49 p.m., Lewisville Police officers responded to a local restaurant, located in the 1200 block of S. SH 121 Business, regarding a report of a person shot.
When officers arrived, they located two adult shooting victims inside a nearby business, where they had taken refuge following the shooting. Both adult male victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment and are expected to survive.
Investigators determined the shooting occurred in the parking lot behind the restaurant. Video obtained during the investigation showed an altercation occurred between members of two separate groups. During the altercation, the suspect allegedly displayed a handgun and shot two people in the opposing group.
Following the shooting, the suspects fled the area. Officers were able to utilize Flock, which is an automatic license plate reader, to identify the suspect vehicle.
Through video evidence, investigative resources, and interviews conducted at the scene and hospital, detectives identified the alleged shooter.
Later that evening, the suspect surrendered to LPD and was taken into custody without incident.
