Highway 287 reopened in Fort Worth after crash involving oil truck

Multiple emergency responders from the Fort Worth Fire Department, Police Department, and MedStar EMS all responded to a major accident this afternoon on Highway 287.

Just before 3:45PM, a crash involving an oil truck occurred along northbound Highway 287 near Harmon Road.

A major oil spill across all lanes of travel caused the closure of all northbound lanes for 2+ hours.

MedStar EMS transported a patient to JPS, but injuries sounded to be non-serious at this time. Police confirmed no major injuries reported as of 5:00PM.

The cause of the crash has not yet been released.
