4 injured, 2 killed in six shootings across Dallas Saturday night – overnight Sunday
The Dallas Police Department is investigating another busy night of shootings across the city of Dallas. A total of six shootings occurred between 4PM Saturday evening and 4AM on Sunday morning. Here are some details on each of the incidents.
On Saturday at 4:10PM, the Dallas Police Department responded to a shooting in the 2300 block of Greer Street (South Dallas). They located a 35-year-old man who was shot and injured. The man stated he was involved in a verbal dispute with another man, which led to the shooting. The victim was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
On Saturday at 8:34PM, the Dallas Police Department responded to a shooting along the northbound I35E service road near Empire Central Drive. Officers found a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, lying on the service. He was pronounced deceased on the scene. Circumstances regarding this incident are still under investigation.
On Saturday at 9:09PM, the Dallas Police Department responded to a shooting incident near the intersection of Beckley Avenue and Clarendon Drive (Oak Cliff). A 57-year-old man was found shot in the driver’s seat of his vehicle. He was transported to a local hospital, but pronounced deceased. No one is in custody and the investigation is ongoing.
On Saturday at 10:52PM, the Dallas Police Department responded to a shooting at a house in the 3900 block of Denley Drive. A 20-year-old man was found shot and injured. Dallas Fire Rescue transported the victim to a local hospital in critical condition. Unknown suspect information.
On Saturday at 11:38PM, the Dallas Police Department responded to a shooting near the intersection of Overton Road and Ramona Avenue. Officers located a 37-year-old with a gunshot wound. He told police that a suspicious vehicle drove by twice, before opening fire at him. The victim was transported to the hospital in stable condition. The suspect fled the scene.
On Sunday morning at 3:15AM, the Dallas Police Department responded to a shooting in the 11300 block of Amanda Lane (Lake Highlands area). A man was found shot at the location. Dallas Fire Rescue transported him to a local hospital in unknown condition. Unknown suspect information.
