Two people killed in high speed crash along Highway 114 in Irving
The Irving Police Department is investigating a double fatality accident that occurred along westbound Highway 114 in Irving early Sunday morning.
Multiple Irving firefighters and police officers were called to the scene at Highway 114 and Hidden Ridge.
Officials say a vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed on westbound Highway 114 when the driver lost control and hit the Hidden Ridge bridge.
Both occupants in the vehicle, identified as a 23-year-old man and 24-year-old woman, were pronounced deceased at the scene.
All lanes of westbound Highway 114 were closed from around 6:00am until lunchtime on Sunday.
