Irving police looking for suspect who shot, killed 19-year-old driver sitting at a red light

The Irving Police Department is investigating a homicide that occurred around 10:15am Thursday morning at the intersection of N. MacArthur Blvd and Ranch Trail.
Authorities say a 19-year-old man was sitting in his vehicle stopped at a red light when another vehicle pulled up beside him. A front passenger inside the vehicle reached out and fired multiple shots into the vehicle, striking the young driver. After the shots were fired, the suspect vehicle fled southbound on MacArthur Blvd.
Paramedics were called to the scene and transported the victim to Parkland Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
