Swimmer drowns at Grapevine Lake
The Texas Parks and Wildlife Division is investigating a drowning that occurred this evening at Grapevine Lake.
At 6:58pm, multiple emergency responders from Grapevine FD/EMS and PD were called to Katie’s Woods Park for a possible drowning.
Officials say a man jumped off the rocks and into the water, but did not resurface. Rescue crews recovered the man’s body approximately an hour later.
It is unclear if the swimmer was wearing a life jacket.
The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the victim as a 33-year-old man from Irving.
