The Fort Worth Police Department is investigating a fatality accident that occurred this morning at the intersection of N. Riverside Drive and Sandshell Drive.
At 6:11am, Fort Worth FD, PD, and MedStar EMS all responded to the intersection for a crash involving a motorcycle.
When paramedics arrived, they located one motorcycle rider with severe injuries. He was transported by MedStar ambulance to nearby Medical City Alliance, but ultimately died as a result of his injuries.
The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified him as a 59-year-old man from Haltom City.
The Grand Prairie Police Department is investigating a homicide that occurred Sunday morning in the 100 block of Goerte Drive.
At 7:30am, Grand Prairie police responded to a shooting at the given location. When officers arrived, they located a gunshot wound victim deceased on the scene.
Investigators learned the victim, a 25-year-old man, was engaged in a disturbance with two other individuals, a 26-year-old man and 28-year-old man. During this disturbance, gunshots were exchanged and the victim was shot.
The two men fled the scene in a vehicle driven by a 33-year-old man. All three have since been arrested and charged with Murder.
The Lewisville Police Department and Texas Parks and Wildlife Division are investigating a drowning that occurred Sunday evening at Lake Lewisville.
Around 9:10pm last night, Lewisville firefighters/paramedics and police responded to the boat ramp at Lake Park for a missing person in the water.
Eyewitnesses on the boat say one of the individuals onboard reached out and attempted to push against a piling to slow the boat down for docking, but fell overboard, went under and never resurfaced. He was not wearing a life jacket.
Emergency crews located the man after about a 20-minute search. They performed CPR on him en route to Medical City Lewisville hospital, but his injuries were too severe. He was pronounced deceased at the hospital a few hours later. He has been identified by the Medical Examiner’s Office has a 36-year-old man from Lewisville.
As of last night, there was no indication alcohol played a factor in this incident.
The Cleburne Police Department is investigating a disturbance and subsequent major crash that has killed one person and injured two others.
At 8:54pm, Cleburne police officers responded to a residence in the 100 block of Huron Street for a major accident. Officers determined a disturbance had occurred and a suspect drove off, striking three people.
Paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced one man deceased. They transported a woman with significant injuries to a local hospital. Another woman suffered minor injuries during the incident.
The suspect fled prior to police arrival. Detectives and officers are actively looking for the suspect and vehicle. They do not believe there is a threat to the general public.
The Dallas Police Department is investigating a fatality accident that occurred late Saturday night at the intersection of Buckner Blvd and Cordell Drive in the Pleasant Grove area.
At around 10:00pm, a 19-year-old male was driving a pickup truck at a high rate of speed on southbound Buckner Blvd. As the driver of a northbound truck and trailer turned left onto Cordell Drive, the 19-year-old struck the empty trailer and caused it to swing around, striking an elderly male riding a motorized wheelchair.
Dallas Fire Rescue paramedics transported the elderly man to a hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
The 19-year-old driver was suspected to be intoxicated at the time of the crash. He was arrested for Intoxication Manslaughter.
The Dallas Police Department is investigating whether three recent shootings at Asian-run businesses have been conducted by the same suspect as a hate crime.
The first shooting occurred on April 2 when a suspect drove past a strip mall of Asian businesses located at 2208 Royal Lane. The driver fired multiple shots at three businesses; however, no one was injured. The suspect vehicle was reported to be a red minivan.
A month later, on May 10, a suspect in a burgundy van or car drove by and shot into an Asian business near 4849 Sunnyvale Street. Three people were inside the business, but luckily no one was injured.
The next day, last Wednesday May 11, a suspect entered another Asian business at 2216 Royal Lane and shot three people. A witness described the suspect running from that business to a red older style minivan and sped away westbound on Royal Lane.
Dallas Police have reached out to their partners to make them aware of this possible connection and to ask for their assistance, this includes the FBI and member agencies of the Joint Terrorism Task Force. Dallas PD is also working with North Texas police partners to determine if this criminal action has or is taking place in their jurisdictions.
“To safeguard our community, we will be utilizing camera trailers in certain areas, and every patrol stations have been advised to increase high visibility patrols in the areas of our Asian community. Most importantly, we are turning to every resident of Dallas to keep an eye out and help safeguard our city, and to assist us in identifying any possible suspects.”
The Dallas Police Department is investigating a fatality accident that occurred Thursday morning along IH-635 and Hillcrest Drive.
At 11:09am, Dallas Fire Rescue and Police Department responded to the scene along the eastbound lanes of 635. All lanes were diverted off the highway while police worked the scene.
Investigators say the driver of a utility pickup truck was driving in stop and go traffic on the highway when he collided with an 18-wheeler that had stopped in the traffic. Impact from the collision caused the utility truck to lodge up under the trailer of the semi, pinning the driver.
Dallas Fire Rescue responded with their heavy rescue team to extricate the trapped driver, but he was pronounced deceased at the scene. He has been identified as a 45-year-old man. His 44-year-old passenger was not seriously injured.
Lanes of eastbound 635 were closed at Preston Road while Dallas PD investigated the scene.
The Dallas Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred around 2:00am in the 2800 block of Elm Street.
Officers responded to a shooting at the intersection of Elm Street and Crowdus Street and located five victims with gunshot wounds. Dallas Fire Rescue transported the victims to local hospitals where two were pronounced deceased.
As of 7:45am, Dallas officers were still trying to identify a suspect in this case. No one is in custody.
A large crime scene closed off a portion of Deep Ellum for much of the overnight hours while DPD investigated the scene.
The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating a fatality accident that occurred during the overnight hours of Tuesday.
At 1:02am, multiple agencies were dispatched to the northbound lanes of I35 near Hockley Creek Road in Cooke County.
Investigators say an SUV was disabled in the northbound lanes from a previous crash. A 30-year-old female Lyft driver conducting a rideshare to the Gainesville area collided with the disabled vehicle, injuring both herself and her passenger. The driver of the disabled vehicle was also injured.
Paramedics transported all three individuals to a local hospital where the Lyft driver was pronounced deceased. Her passenger, a 19-year-old woman from Gainesville, suffered serious injuries, but will survive. The driver of the disabled vehicle, a 73-year-old woman from Cleburne, was seriously injured as well.
The cause of the original crash remains under investigation.
The Fort Worth Police Department is investigating a late night fatality crash that occurred at the intersection of Trinity Blvd and Euless South Main Street.
Just before midnight, a Euless police officer initiated a traffic stop of a vehicle traveling eastbound on Trinity Blvd. The driver failed to stop and began to flee from the officer. It is unclear if the officer pursued the suspect or let him drive off.
As the suspect driver fled police, he collided with a passenger vehicle at the intersection of Trinity Blvd and Euless South Main Street. Paramedics pronounced the innocent driver deceased on the scene.
Immediately following the crash, the suspect driver ran away from the scene, but he was apprehended by responding Euless officers. He was taken into custody for Evading Arrest and Detention. Police have not stated why he ran from them.
The identity of the deceased has not yet been released.
