The Red Oak Police Department is investigating a fatality accident that occurred earlier this afternoon along Highway 77 at Free Market Drive.

At 12:52pm, multiple 9-1-1 calls came into the dispatch center reporting a major accident at the given location. Officers arrived on the scene shortly thereafter and located two vehicles with major damage.

Investigators say a minivan was westbound on Free Market Drive when the driver failed to yield to a northbound passenger car. As the minivan made the left turn onto southbound Highway 77, the northbound passenger car t-boned the minivan, resulting in a serious collision.

The driver of the passenger car, a 17-year-old female, was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the minivan, a 66-year-old, was transported to nearby Baylor Scott and White Waxahachie hospital, but pronounced deceased. A passenger in the minivan was transported to Children’s Hospital in Dallas with non-life-threatening injuries.

The accident remains under investigation.

At around 5:00pm this evening, Rockwall County sheriffs deputies and Rockwall PD along with Fire and EMS responded to the intersection of State Highway 276 and Rochell Drive for a major accident.

When RCSO deputies arrived, they found two vehicles and an 18-wheeler involved in a collision. One of the drivers of the vehicles was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the other vehicle was flown by CareFlite to a local hospital. A third person, the driver of the 18-wheeler, was transported by ambulance to a local hospital.

The deceased driver has been identified as a 27-year-old from Terrell.

Lanes of Highway 276 were closed for several hours while Rockwall police investigated the scene. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.

The North Richland Hills Police Department is investigating a serious crash that left a child critically hurt.

At around 5:00pm, North Richland Hills PD along with Fire/EMS responded to the Oxford at Iron Horse apartment complex in the 6100 block of Browning Drive for a auto pedestrian crash.

When officers arrived, they located a 2-year-old child with serious injuries. Paramedics quickly transported the child to a local hospital in critical condition. As of 10:30pm Monday, there has not been an update on the child’s condition.

The crash occurred inside the apartment complex. The driver that struck the child stayed at the scene and was cooperative throughout the investigation. At this time, police do not expect any charges to be filed.

“At this point in the investigation, the crash appears to be a tragic accident,” said police in a statement.

Crash investigators and crime scene technicians are working to determine how the accident occurred.

The Blue Mound Police Department is investigating a homicide that occurred on Sunday morning.

At around 9:46am, Blue Mound PD along with FD and Medstar EMS responded to a home in the 700 block of Globe Avenue for a welfare concern.

When officers arrived at the house, they located a 69-year-old man with a laceration to his neck. Officers also located his 66-year-old wife deceased in one of the bedrooms. She had sustained multiple stab wounds.

Paramedics transported the husband to a local hospital for treatment. He is expected to survive. Police have since arrested him on a charge of Murder.

Officials do not believe there is any threat to the general public. Detectives continue to investigate this incident.

The Arlington Police Department is investigating a fatality accident that occurred this afternoon along the 2100 block of North Davis Drive near Lamar Blvd.

At 12:02pm, Arlington PD along with Arlington FD and EMS were dispatched to a single vehicle rollover crash along Davis Drive and Anita Drive.

Police say the driver of an SUV was traveling northbound on Davis Drive when the vehicle hit a curb, lost control, and overturned multiple times, eventually landing off the road and into a fence.

Three people were inside the vehicle when it crashed. All were transported to area hospitals. A short time later, one of the passengers was pronounced deceased. He has been identified as a 39-year-old man.

Arlington police determined the 31-year-old driver was intoxicated at the time of the crash. He will be charged with Intoxication Manslaughter. Other drivers reported the SUV traveling at a high rate of speed and weaving in and out of traffic immediately before the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.

The Coppell Police Department is investigating a fatality accident that occurred this morning in the 600 block of S. MacArthur Blvd.

At around 6:31am, Coppell Police and Fire/EMS responded to a single vehicle crash at the location.

When officers arrived on the scene, they located a vehicle off the road and into a tree. The driver, a 19-year-old female, was transported to a local hospital, but pronounced deceased.

Police are still investigating the cause of the crash.

The Mansfield Police Department is investigating a fatality accident that occurred late Thursday afternoon along northbound Highway 287 near Turner Warnell.

At 4:54pm, Mansfield PD along with Fire/EMS were dispatched to a major crash with injuries at the given location. When emergency crews arrived, they found three vehicles with major damage.

Investigators determined a passenger vehicle rear-ended an SUV which caused the SUV to spin and hit another SUV. One occupant in the passenger vehicle was pronounced deceased at the scene by Mansfield paramedics. No other else was seriously hurt.

All northbound lanes of Highway 287 were closed while police conducted an investigation of the scene. At this time, the cause of the crash is still under investigation.

The Medical Examiner’s Office has not released the identity of the victim.

The Arlington Police Department is investigating a homicide that occurred Tuesday evening at an extended stay motel in south Arlington.

At 6:05pm, Arlington 9-1-1 dispatchers received a phone call from a citizen saying they had a gunshot wound victim in their car. An Arlington EMS ambulance met them and transported the critically wounded man to Medical City Arlington; however, the man died a short time later at the hospital. He has been identified as a 19-year-old male.

Detectives believe just prior to the shooting, the victim got into the backseat of a vehicle parked at the In Town Suites extended stay motel, 6016 S. Cooper Street. A few minutes later, he got out of the vehicle and shots were fired. The suspected shooter then drove off.

Investigators have not ruled out the possibility that this was a “high risk activity” situation, such as a drug deal or robbery.

No arrests have been made.

The shooting remains under investigation.
