Dallas Fire officials confirm no one inside submerged vehicle located in Trinity River

At 1:08 p.m. Dallas Fire Rescue units were dispatched on a Water Rescue call after someone saw a car underneath Interstate-20, near Dowdy Ferry Road, in the Trinity River Creek.
Assets from DFR’s Swift Water Team, DPD’s Dive Team and the Dallas Sherriff’s Department responded.
No one witnessed the vehicle go into the water, and there is no information indicating how long the vehicle has been there.
While Swift Water was able to get a Dive Team member to the vehicle, initial search efforts revealed no findings.
A tow truck pulled the vehicle from the water and confirmed no one was inside.
A second vehicle was also recovered from the water, but its believed that vehicle had been there a lot longer.
