Police cadet, two firefighters injured by lightning strike at Fort Worth public safety center

At around 10:30am, a lightning strike hit the Fort Worth public safety training center at 505 Felix Street.
Fort Worth police say one of their cadets may have been hit in the ankle by the bolt. MedStar EMS transported him to a local hospital with potentially serious injuries. Police say he is in good condition.
Two firefighters also reported tingling after the strike. They were evaluated by EMS at the scene and did not receive transport to hospital. FWFD says they have decided to remain on duty.
The incident remains under investigation.
