Driver killed in crash near Lake Bardwell in Ellis County
On Friday, January 5, at 7:02am, multiple emergency responders were dispatched to a major accident on State Highway 34 near the Lake Bardwell bridge.
A preliminary investigation reveals the driver of a sedan was traveling eastbound on State Highway 34 when he attempted to make a u-turn and was struck by a pickup truck.
The driver of the sedan was pronounced deceased at the scene. He has been identified as a 21-year-old man from Ennis.
The driver of the pickup truck was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
