OVERNIGHT: Second round of strong, possibly severe weather moving in from the west

As discussed earlier in the day, the second round of strong weather continues to form and strengthen west of the immediate Dallas – Fort Worth Metroplex. This line of strong storms is currently moving east and should sweep through in a few hours.

Residents who are currently in the tornado impact zone in north Dallas need to know of the incoming weather. If you have friends or family dealing with damage, please inform them of the storms in the next few hours.

The line of storms will impact 100% of the DFW Metroplex as it sweeps through after midnight. Strong, potentially damaging winds, hail, and frequent lightning are all possible. There is a low tornado threat.

Please continue to monitor the latest weather forecasts.
