Man slips off jet ski, drowns at Lake Arlington

The Arlington Police Department is investigating a drowning that occurred Tuesday evening on Lake Arlington.

Just before 6:30PM, multiple emergency responders were called to the Fort Worth shoreline of Lake Arlington after a man riding a jet ski slipped off and did not resurface after going underwater. He was unresponsive when a friend pulled him to the shoreline.

CPR was performed on the victim, but he was pronounced deceased on the scene.

Officials say he was wearing a life jacket at the time of the incident, but it was not the proper size.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office has ruled his death an accident by drowning. He has been identified as a 35-year-old man from Arlington.
