Two juveniles killed in rural Wise County crash
The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating a serious crash that claimed the lives of two juveniles overnight Sunday on a rural Wise County road.
According to DPS Troopers, a pickup truck was traveling north on County Road 4757 when the driver swerved to avoid a deer in the roadway. This action caused the driver to lose control of the vehicle, which then hit several trees and overturned. The crash occurred around 2:30am Sunday morning.
The driver of the vehicle, identified as a 17-year-old male, was injured in the crash. Two passengers in the vehicle, identified as a 17-year-old female and 13-year-old male, were pronounced deceased at the scene. Both victims were from Odessa.
The investigation is ongoing at this time.
