Woman stabs child and juvenile at home in Dallas; child killed

The Dallas Police Department is investigating the fatal stabbing of a young girl at a southeast Dallas home this afternoon.

Multiple Dallas police officers were called to the 2900 block of Frazier Street just before 2:00pm after a 9-1-1 caller reported a woman had stabbed two children.

A witness, who lives at the house where the crime happened, ran to get a neighbor after the stabbing occurred. The neighbor subdued the woman, and then drove the injured 6-year-old little girl to a nearby fire station. She was transported by Dallas paramedics to a local hospital, but pronounced deceased.

A male juvenile was also stabbed by the woman. He was taken to a local hospital in stable condition.

Dallas officers have arrested the woman at fault, but have not stated her relationship to the children. She is being questioned at Dallas Police Headquarters.
