At least 4 people shot at large Fort Worth party, police say

On Monday, July 3, 2023, at about 10:12pm, Fort Worth officers were dispatched to the 2100 block of Christine Avenue, a private residence, in reference to a shooting.  Fort Worth Fire Department and MedStar personnel also responded.  

Upon arrival, officers located three adult male victims whom had suffered gunshot wounds to various parts of their bodies.  Officers learned that this incident began as a large group of persons physically fighting which then escalated to the discharge of firearms by at least two persons.

One victim is confirmed to have suffered a gunshot wound to the back.  Two other victims were examined on-scene and it was determined they had also received gunshot wounds, one to the head and one the thigh, respectively.

All three victims were transported to the hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

At about the same time, additional officers were dispatched to the 4000 block of Knox Street, a private residence. in reference to a shooting involving two victims.  

Upon arrival, officers located an adult male victim and an adult female victim.  Both victims stated that they had been at the Christine Avenue location in a vehicle when the vehicle was struck by gunfire.  The male was was driving and the female was a passenger in the vehicle.  The adult female had received an gunshot wound to the ankle and the adult male had received an injury to his hand from a possible possible gunshot wound or flying glass.

Both victims were transported to the hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

There is a suspect currently being detained and Gang Unit will be responsible for investigating this incident.
