Driver killed in violent Parker County crash
On Thursday, April 9th, at around 9:00am, multiple agencies responded to a crash on Interstate 20 near Farm to Market Road 1189 in western Parker County.
Authorities say an SUV was traveling westbound on IH20 and a pickup truck was traveling eastbound on IH20 in the left lane. The driver of the SUV failed to drive in a single lane and veered off the road onto the center median. The SUV then hit the end cable support beam and vaulted into the eastbound lanes of travel, where it struck the front end of the pickup truck. The SUV then went over the east bank of Little Grindstone Creek.
The driver of the SUV was killed in the crash.
The driver of the pickup truck was injured and transported to a local hospital.
