UPDATE: 15-year-old killed in Plano crash

On Monday, March 2, 2026, at approximately 12:00 p.m., Plano Police Officers and Plano Fire-Rescue personnel responded to a traffic crash in the 600 block of Independence Parkway.

Based on the preliminary investigation, a passenger car was travelling south on Independence Parkway. The driver lost control of the vehicle, crossed the center median, and struck an SUV that was travelling north on Independence Parkway.

The SUV was occupied by four individuals, including the driver. One of the passengers, a 15-year-old male, was pronounced deceased at the scene by Plano Fire-Rescue. The other three occupants were transported to a local hospital and the extent of their injuries is unknown. The driver of the passenger car was not transported.

At this time, speed appears to be a contributing factor in this fatality crash.

This incident is currently under investigation by the Plano Police Traffic Unit.

UPDATE: One motorcyclist killed, a second critically hurt in Crowley crash

At around 6:00pm this evening, Crowley Fire/EMS and Police responded to a major accident involving two motorcycles and a vehicle near the intersection of Business 1187 and Eagle Drive.

When officers arrived, they found two injured motorcyclists.

One of the motorcyclists was pronounced deceased at the scene. The second motorcyclist was transported by CareFlite helicopter to a Fort Worth trauma center with life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the vehicle was released at the scene.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.

Dallas PD motor officer injured in crash

On Monday, March 2, 2026, at approximately 12:46 a.m., Dallas Police and Fire Rescue along with Dallas County Sheriff’s deputies responded to an assist officer call in the 2900 block of North Stemmons Freeway northbound near Inwood Road.

The assist call was made after a motorcycle officer on duty was involved in a motor vehicle accident.

Preliminary information indicates the officer was struck from behind by an unidentified vehicle, causing him to be thrown from his motorcycle. A second vehicle then collided with the motorcycle after the officer had been thrown from his motorcycle.

Dallas Fire-Rescue transported the officer to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Woman shot in leg behind Deep Ellum bar; suspect arrested

On Sunday, March 1, 2026, at about 2:10 a.m., Dallas Police responded to an assist officer call after an officer reported hearing multiple gunshots in the in the 2700 block of Elm Street.

Officers arrived at the scene and determined a woman had been shot in the leg in the 2700 block of July Alley behind a business on Elm Street. The woman was taken to a local hospital for medical treatment.

The suspect was taken into custody during a felony traffic stop, according to scanner traffic. 

The investigation is ongoing.

One dead after shooting outside Lewisville bar

On Sunday, March 1, shortly after 1 a.m., the Lewisville Police Department responded to a reported shooting at a bar located in the 1100 block of Texas Street.

Upon arrival, officers found an adult victim in the parking lot suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Officers immediately began rendering life-saving aid to the victim. Additional arriving officers secured the scene and started their investigation.

Officers were provided with a description of the suspect, later identified as a 40-year-old man. Officers located the suspect nearby and took him into custody without incident.

The victim was transported to a local hospital in critical condition. Unfortunately, the victim later died.

The suspect has been charged with Murder and Tampering with Evidence.

This remains an active investigation. Alleged burglar arrested at Denton business following standoff

At approximately 7:30 a.m., on Saturday, Feb. 28, Denton PD officers responded to a report of a burglary of a business call in the 1900 block of Virginia Circle.

Officers encountered a 30-year-old male suspect in one of the smaller buildings at the complex. The suspect escaped, climbed onto the roof of the main building and barricaded himself inside.

The business owner was on scene and notified officers that there were accessible firearms in the building. A perimeter was established and negotiations were attempted by on duty officers through the business phone. Multiple SWAT officers and negotiators responded to the scene. 

At approximately 2:10 p.m., the suspect exited the building and was taken into custody without incident. A firearm that had been stolen from the business was also recovered.

Three people shot, one fatally, in northwest Fort Worth

On March 1, 2026, at approximately 3:40 a.m., Fort Worth PD officers were dispatched to the 1200 block of NW 35th Street in response to a shooting incident.

Upon arrival, officers located one victim on scene with an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.

A second and third gunshot victim were located at local area hospitals.

The Homicide Unit was notified and is investigating the circumstances surrounding this incident. 

Initial details indicate that there was a large gathering at this location.  An altercation occurred outside in the parking lot during which shots were fired.  The details surrounding that altercation remain under investigation.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office will positively identify the deceased and determine the cause and manner of death.

UPDATE: Motorcyclist killed in Fort Worth crash involving vehicle rollover

At around 11:15pm Friday night, Fort Worth Fire/EMS and Police responded to a major accident on westbound I30 near Forest Park Blvd.

Emergency responders found an overturned vehicle on the westbound side of the highway and a motorcyclist laying on the eastbound side.

Firefighters extricated one person from the overturned vehicle.

Paramedics performed CPR on the motorcyclist, but the injuries were too severe. The motorcyclist was pronounced deceased.

Lanes of I30 in this area were closed while FWPD investigated the crash scene. The cause of the crash is still under investigation. No further information has been released.

UPDATE: 14-year-old killed in Arlington shooting; juvenile arrested for Manslaughter

Late Friday night, Arlington PD officers responded to a reported shooting at Sausalito Drive, near W. Arkansas Lane and Little Road in Arlington.

Upon arrival, officers located a 14-year-old male who had sustained a gunshot wound. Despite emergency response efforts, he was pronounced deceased at the scene.

A preliminary investigation indicates the victim and several other juveniles gained access to the firearm while inside the residence. Evidence suggests the juveniles were handling the weapon and pointing it at one another when it was discharged, striking the victim.

The juvenile who fired the weapon was taken into custody and charged with Manslaughter. He was transported to the Tarrant County Juvenile Detention Center.

The investigation remains ongoing, including efforts to determine how the weapon was accessed.
