One killed, one seriously hurt in motorcycle crash on I-45 in Dallas

The Dallas Police Department is investigating a fatality accident that occurred along southbound I-45 near Simpson Stuart Road just before midnight last night.

Investigators say a motorcycle, occupied by the operator and one rider, was traveling southbound on the highway when it hit the rear of a vehicle, also going southbound on the highway. The collision sent the motorcycle off the roadway and down an embankment.

Both the operator and the rider were thrown from the motorcycle. Dallas Fire Rescue transported both victims to a local hospital, where the operator died. The rider, a female, is listed in critical condition, according to Dallas police.

Police say the vehicle involved did not stop. It is unclear which driver was at fault. The crash remains under investigation.

Multiple people transported from crash near Tarrant / Wise county line

Multiple emergency responders were called to the scene of a serious crash along FM 730 around lunchtime today. A total of three vehicles were involved in a crash and extrication was required to free at least one person in the wreckage.

Briar-Reno Fire Department, Azle Fire and EMS Department, Eagle Mountain EMS, Wise County EMS, and multiple law enforcement agencies were all called to the scene in the 14000 block of FM 730.

Three vehicles sustained heavy damage in the crash. Extrication was completed and multiple ambulances transported patients into downtown Fort Worth.

A total of four people were taken by ambulances to area hospitals. Air medical was on standby, but disregarded.

Police are still investigating the cause.

NEW: Missing person found dead in Cedar Hill pond

The Cedar Hill Police Department has released an unfortunate update on the missing person, Jorian Caldwell. He was found deceased in a pound earlier this morning.

As reported, Jorian was last seen on Friday, November 13th. Several police agencies and search parties were searching for him all week. A large search effort was planned for this morning (Saturday); however, firefighters found his body in a pond early this morning.

Cedar Hill firefighters were called to a pond in the 1600 block of W. Belt Line Road at around 7:00AM this morning. They successfully recovered the body of a male, matching the description and wearing the same clothes as when he was reported missing.

The Dallas County Medical Examiner’s Office has taken possession of the body for an autopsy.

Cedar Hill Police Department are still investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of Jorian Caldwell.

Driver runs red light, kills pedestrian crossing street in Fort Worth

The Fort Worth Police Department is investigating a fatality accident that occurred late Friday evening near the intersection of NE 28th Street and North Sylvania Avenue.

Officials say a man was crossing the street when a driver ran a red light and hit him. After colliding with the man, the driver fled the scene. A second vehicle also hit the pedestrian after the first crash. That driver also fled the scene.

The man was pronounced deceased on the scene. His identity has not yet been released.

Traffic investigators are still working to locate both drivers involved in the crash.

One child killed, others seriously injured in Kaufman County go-kart crash

The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating a fatality accident involving an SUV and a go-kart vehicle that occurred around 12:30PM today (Saturday) at a rural Kaufman County intersection.

The Kaufman Fire Department, CareFlite EMS, and several other emergency responders were called to the scene of a crash at the intersection of FM 2727 and County Road 167 northeast of Kaufman. An SUV collided with a go-kart, ridden by several children.

Officials say there were six children riding on the go-kart vehicle at the time of the crash. Life-saving measures were administered on one of the children, but the injuries were too severe. One child was pronounced deceased at the scene and others were transported by helicopters or ambulances to trauma centers.

A release from the College Mound Fire Department indicates all children were between the ages of 7 to 12. Three of them were airlifted from the scene to a children’s hospital in Dallas.

Traffic investigators say the go-kart was driving on County Road 167 when it entered FM 2727 and was subsequently hit by the SUV. The driver of the SUV was not seriously injured.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation.

Grand Prairie officer’s vehicle hit while helping a stranded motorist on I-30

A Grand Prairie police officer escaped major injury overnight after a passing vehicle hit his Tahoe along westbound Interstate 30 near MacArthur around 3:00AM.

The passing vehicle side-swiped the police car, which sustained major damage, and overturned. The driver was not seriously injured in the crash.

The officer was out of his vehicle assisting a stranded motorist when his vehicle was hit. He was not inside at the time of the crash.

Lanes of westbound Interstate 30 were closed while police cleared up the scene.

Missing in Dallas – James Alan White

The Dallas Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance in locating 55-year-old James Alan White, last seen leaving a Dallas LA Fitness gym in the early morning hours of Thursday, October 22nd.

White’s Porsche was located in south Oak Cliff by Dallas police, according to reports.

Due to recent developments in his missing person case, the Dallas Police Department has upgraded this to an Endangered Missing Person.

Detectives are actively investigating all workable leads into the report of Mr. White. Detectives are also actively communicating with Mr. White’s family. Missing from Cedar Hill – Jorian Caldwell

The Cedar Hill Police Department is working with family and friends to locate the whereabouts of Jorian Caldwell, a 22-year-old man last seen on Friday, November 13th.

Police say Jorian was last seen around 4:00AM in the 1700 block of Mansfield Road in Cedar Hill. He was last known to be wearing a gray tank top, camouflage shorts, and no shoes.

Search parties along with multiple law enforcement officers have been searching for him all week. Dallas Police Department’s Air-1 helicopter assisted with the search on Monday, as did Grand Prairie’s dive and boat team, Search One Rescue’s K-9 team, Public Safety Unmanned Response, and DPS.

There is a “massive search” planned for Saturday, November 21st. Those who wish to help with the search can come to the Kohl’s parking lot.

“Spree Killer” arrested after several shootings and murders across North Texas

A suspect taken into custody following a murder in Celina on Wednesday has been linked to numerous shootings and murders across North Texas.

As reported on DFW Scanner, multiple law enforcement officers were called to a house fire in the 1400 block of Anvil Drive in Celina on Wednesday at around 11:00AM. An armed man was seen running away from the house, leading to an extensive search of the area. Later in the day, officers located the suspect in Ellis County and arrested him.

During the investigation, it was determined that the suspect from the Celina murder, identified as 31-year-old Jeremy Harris, was the suspect involved in multiple shootings over the past month.

Investigators say the suspect is responsible for drive-by shootings in Prosper, one shooting in Denton, and multiple murders in Dallas. One person was injured in the Prosper shooting.

The Dallas Police Department has linked Harris to at least three shootings, including the murder of a 19-year-old college student in downtown Dallas on Halloween. Police say the suspect is also responsible for two murders which occurred 30 minutes apart on November 14th at I35E service road / Empire Central and 1100 S. Beckley Avenue. A shooting on November 16th at 6012 E. Grand Avenue is also linked to the suspect.

The Denton Police Department says Jeremy Harris is also responsible for a shooting that occurred in their city back on November 17th. Two 20-year-old women were shot and injured after a vehicle drove up beside theirs and opened fire.

Jeremy Harris is being held in jail on a $3 million dollar bond.

Motorcyclist airlifted from serious crash near Amazon facility in Haslet

The Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a serious crash that occurred on Thursday evening near the Amazon fulfillment center at 700 Westport Parkway in Haslet.

Just before 7:30PM, Haslet Engine 28, Rescue 28, MedStar EMS, and Tarrant County sheriffs deputies all responded to the crash involving a motorcycle and an 18-wheeler. Reports indicate the motorcyclist crashed into the back of the truck.

Paramedics called for an Air Evac Lifeteam helicopter due to the motorcyclist’s condition. The helicopter airlifted the man to a local hospital with critical injuries. The motorcyclist’s condition has not yet been released.

TCSO’s accident investigation team responded to investigate and document the scene. The crash remains under investigation.
