At least 11 shot, 3 fatally, during 4th of July event at Fort Worth neighborhood
On July 3rd at 11:40pm, Fort Worth PD officers were dispatched to shots fired at a large gathering of several hundred people in the Como neighborhood near 3400 Horne St.
Upon arrival officers located multiple shooting victims in a parking lot. Several shooting victims were transported by private vehicles to area hospitals for medical treatment and several victims were transported by ambulance to area hospitals.
One victim was pronounced deceased on scene by medical personnel. A total of 11 shooting victims have been identified at this time 3 of which have been pronounced deceased and 8 shooting victims are at area hospitals in unknown conditions.
It is believed that 10 of the victims are adults and 1 victim is a juvenile.
If anyone has information in regards to this shooting they are asked to contact the Ft. Worth Police Department Homicide Unit at 817-392-4330 or crime stoppers and if anyone has personal videos during the time of the shooting or events leading up to the shooting they are asked to contact police.
Homicide detectives are investigating.
